Metro Parking started its business with the setting up of the first company in the group, Metro Parking (M) Sdn Bhd in March 1991. Our core business activity is parking management and consultancy. Since 1991, we have aggressively expanded our business operation extensively not only in Malaysia but also in other countries namely Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines, and India.
Metro Parking Group mission is to be the largest parking operator with our initial emphasis on Asia’s market and later establish our operation in other continents.

Metro Parking (M) Sdn Bhd (Metro Parking) was incorporated in March 1991 and commenced operations in May of the same year. Metro Parking has since grown to become Malaysia’s premier parking operator with more than 200 parking facilities ranging from hotels, hospitals, shopping complexes, office buildings to transport terminals.
Over the years, Metro Parking has gone through a number of growth phases. These have each been followed by a short period of consolidation. The first phase consisted of company’s establishment and expansion in Malaysia. Apart from its Kuala Lumpur Head office, Metro Parking now has full operating branches in other cities namely Malacca, Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bharu, Miri, Labuan, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Kota Bahru and Kuantan.
Metro Parking entered phase two in 1992 with the entry into the Singapore market. In a short span of two years, its subsidiary Metro Parking (S) Private Limited, became one of Singapore’s largest parking operators. The year 1994 saw Metro Parking emerging as the industry leader in Malaysia, with 83 car parks consisting of 28,047 parking bays.
In 1996 Metro Parking entered the Kingdom of Brunei Darussalam, again providing the market with a reliable alternative towards professional parking operation. In 1998, Metro Parking entered the Philippines market through its subsidiary, Metro Parking Management (Philippines) Inc. In the year 2003, it has expanded its operations to Indonesia through establishment of PT Metro Penata Sarana to explore Indonesia market. In 2007 it entered the Hong Kong market through establishment of Metro Parking (HK) Limited and most recently in February 2008 the group has incorporated Metro Parking Services (India) Private Limited to explore potential business expansion in India.
The third phase of Metro Parking’s business expansion programme involves the decision to venture into other related businesses in parking industry such as supplying of parking equipment and access control systems. This has been materialized through the establishment of Metro Equipment Systems (M) Sdn Bhd in 2002 and also acquisition of Smart Parking Management Systems Sdn Bhd, distributor for Skidata Brand for parking and access control systems in Malaysia in year 2006.
The fourth and present phase is our search for further expansion in other Asia countries to bring forth our proven formula of excellent service and the systematic way in organizing parking facility for the mutual benefit of all level of users and owners.
The Directors, Management and the whole team of Metro Parking are mainly individuals and professionals who have substantial expertise and vast experience in car park management. Continuous efforts were also taken to groom the new managers and younger executives to ensure the continuous success of the company. We also actively ensures the safety and health of all its employees while performing their duties. A committee for safety and health has been formed since 2003 to oversee all aspects of employee safety and to implement relevant activities pertaining to safety and health.
